KATRINKA
My name is Kathy Phillips, aka “Katrinka”. A name my mother gave me as a child studying classical ballet. I am a designer, artist, quilter, fiber artist, maker and sewist. I have a small studio based in South Carolina. I have worked 20+ years in the corporate world as a Creative Director in the textile industry. I received an M.F.A. in Theatre Design, specializing in costumes. I am a Pittsburgh native raised in a creative family that nurtured my artist talent. I love to create unique pieces of art, textiles, and fiber art using handcrafted techniques, dyes and fibers. I want to be an inspiration to others to find their own “inner artist.”
